Habib Farajollah Chaab was sentenced to death over his role with a separatist group alleged to have carried out a fatal attack.

Iran executed a Swedish-Iranian dissident convicted of leading an Arab separatist group accused of attacks, including one on a military parade in 2018 that killed 25 people.

Habib Farajollah Chaab was sentenced to death for being “corrupt on earth”, a capital offense under Iran’s strict interpretation of Islamic law. State broadcaster IRIB reported his execution on Saturday.

“The death sentence for Habib Chaab … nicknamed Habib Asyud, the head of Harakat al-Nidal terrorist group … was executed today,

Zarya of the Dawn – copyright and an AI – IPwars.com

Those of you who heard Shira Perlmutter, the US Register of Copyright, on her Australian tour last year will recall the US Copyright Office had withdrawn and was considering the copyright registration for Zarya of the Dawn.[1] On 21 February 2023, the US Copyright Office announced the outcome of that review. While the Copyright Office allowed registration of some aspects, it rejected the claim to copyright in the images created by Midjourney, an AI.

  • Gretchen Whitmer is expected to also sign a “red flag” law, allowing judges to confiscate guns from people they deem dangerous.

  • Lawmakers say they hope to target gun manufacturers and domestic abusers next, per Bridge Michigan.

Michigan lawmakers have passed three gun safety laws this month, and they say they’re not stopping there.

Fox News Host Confronts Lindsey Graham on GOP’s Abortion Position

Fox News host Shannon Bream pressed Senator Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, on Sunday about whether the GOP’s message on abortion was “costing the Republican Party.”

Anti-abortion advocates celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which last June overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark case that previously guaranteed reproductive rights to women across the United States, as a major victory. The ruling allowed states to make their own laws regarding the medical procedure, with many Republican-led states quickly moving to either ban or place significant restrictions on abortion in the months following the ruling.

Donald Trump insisted on turning his Tuesday arrangement into a spectacle, and he’s going to get his wish.

A law enforcement official tells Rolling Stone that the former president was offered a chance to surrender quietly and be arraigned over Zoom. Instead, Trump opted for a midday, high-profile booking at the Manhattan courthouse, the official says.

Putin’s getting nervous about Russia’s sinking economy [Video]

Kremlinologists think it’s no coincidence that Russian authorities seized Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich just a day after he co-authored a Journal story on how Russia’s economy is “starting to come unone.”

Russia says Gershkovich was spying, which the Journal adamantly denies. It’s safe to believe the Journal because Russia passed a law last year that basically criminalizes what journalists do: ask questions about things the government doesn’t want anybody to know about.

That law focuses on anybody spreading information about the Russian military, which may apply to Gershkovich because he was reportedly researching a story on the Wagner

Michigan’s 1st state in decades to repeal ‘right-to-work’ law

Supporters of the reply poured into the state Capitol in Lansing earlier this month as the House and Senate took up the legislation before approving it along party lines after limited deliberations.

“It’s a new day here in Lansing,” Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks said prior to the vote. “It’s time to once again make Michigan known as a place where workers want to come.”

Democrats had argued that the law allowed “free riders” to receive union representation without having to pay fees or dues. Without it, unions can now require all workers in a unionized workplace to pay fees
