Serial rape suspect Matthew Nilo was ordered to pay an additional $50K in bail to remain out of jail

A Manhattan lawyer accused of a string of sexual assaults was ordered to pay an additional $50,000 bail on new charges in Boston Thursday — as he left court with his devoted fiancée.

Matthew Nilo, 35, of New Jersey, was ordered to pay the additional $50,000 for the new charges stemming from five alleged attacks on four women in the North End between 2007 and 2008. The accused serial rapist already posted $500,000 cash bail at his previous arrangement

The disgraced lawyer will remain free on bail and is allowed to return home to New Jersey, but will still have

Donald Trump’s lawyers asked to delay federal trial on classified records mid 2024 campaign

Donald Trump’s lawyers asked a federal judge for an indefinite delay in his trial on charges related to his handling of classified documents after leaving the White House, arguing he couldn’t get a fair trial ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

US District Judge Aileen Cannon initially set an Aug. 14 trial dates. Justice Department attorneys proposed a delay to Dec. 11 because Trump’s lawyers need to get security clearances before they can study all the documents at stake in the case.

But Trump’s lawyers, led by Christopher Kise, argued the evidence at stake is already voluminous, with more on

Ex-prosecutor: Walt Nauta can’t find a lawyer because Trump wants someone he “can control”

Donald Trump’s personal valet Walt Nauta is struggling to secure legal representation amid his indictment in the former president’s mishandling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Though Trump was arraigned last month on 37 felony counts in the Mar-a-Lago documents case, Nauta, his co-defendant accused of helping him obstruct government efforts to recover the classified documents, has repeatedly had his arrangement postponed due to difficulty finding a Florida attorney.

Tim Jansen, a former federal prosecutor and current criminal defense attorney, told CNN that he thinks Nauta’s plight is “a combination of maybe someone trying to pick the lawyer they

Ex-Producer Settles With Fox News for $12M

Fox News and a former producer have settled a lawsuit over allegations of an “overtly misogynistic” work environment, a move that will cost the network $12 million but avoid public testimony about its culture. Abby Grossberg had said she faced sexist and antisemitic remarks and sexual harassment at Fox, including during her tenure on Tucker Carlson’s show, per Axios. She issued a statement Friday saying that while she stands by those allegations, she’s hopeful after discussions with Fox that “this resolution represents a positive step by the network regarding its treatment of women and minorities in the workplace.”

Donald Trump’s Ex-Lawyer On Documents Case Has Pithy Advice For Trump

Tim Parlatore, who was a lawyer for Donald Trump in the classified documents case before he quit for personal reasons, offered some advice Tuesday to his old client: Shut up. (Watch the video below.)

OK, Parlatore said it in more polite words during his appearance on CNN but his free counsel came in loud and clear.

“You have the right to remain silent. Use it,” Parlatore said.

Parlatore was shown video of Trump’s interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier in which the ex-president seemed, to many, to admit to willfully keeping sensitive files at Mar-a-Lago after receiving a subpoena to

Citing ‘Irreconcilable Differences,’ Trump Lawyer Quits Another Case

Former President Donald Trump’s legal woes go beyond the dozens of states and federal charges against him — he’s having trouble finding qualified lawyers willing to help him wage his various courtroom battles.

With his history of ignoring legal advice and bills, it’s not hard to see why.

On Friday, attorney Jim Trusty submitted a request to withdraw from Trump’s defamation suit against CNN, citing “irreconcilable differences” with his client.

The move came just one week after Trusty and another lawyer, John Rowley, decided to resign from Trump’s legal team in the matter of classified documents he is accused of
