Police looking for missing Pennsylvania mother

LIMERICK TWP., Pa. (WHTM) — The Montgomery County District Attorney and the Limerick Township Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing mother.

According to a post from the Facebook page of District Attorney Kevin Steele, they are looking for 43-year-old Jennifer Brown who lives on Stratford Court, which is in Limerick Township, Montgomery County.

The family of Brown is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that can help law enforcement find her.

Attorneys representing at least 15 former Northwestern University student athletes announced plans Wednesday to sue the university over allegations that its athletics department fostered a “toxic culture” that facilitated harassment and sexual abuse.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump said the legal team is also speaking to at least 50 other former student athletes as they prepare the lawsuit.

“What they shared with us was clearly a pattern and practice of a culture that was predicated on physical intimidation, harassment, discrimination, abuse – both mentally and sexually – and it was normalized,” Crump said at a news conference in Chicago Wednesday.

Prosecutors believe Joseph Steven Jorgenson dismembered his girlfriend, Manijeh “Mani” Starren, and hid her remains in a Woodbury storage facility.

MAPLEWOOD, Minn. — The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office charged a Maplewood man Friday for allegedly killing and dismembering his girlfriend.

Joseph Steven Jorgenson, 40, faces one count of second-degree murder in connection with the disappearance and eventual death of 34-year-old Manijeh “Mani” Starren. Starren was reported missing in early June after her family had not heard from her since April 21.

Kurt Painter, 28, was arrested Thursday shortly after 12:30 pm on suspicion of residential burglary after he was found in a Pasco garage trying to break into a car.

Painter was one of the first people to have his bail cut because of the shortage of attorneys to handle public defense in the county. Officials already announced a Friday news conference to address the need for help before Painter was arrested again.
