Defense attorneys for former Raiders player Henry Ruggs are continuing to push for a judge to explain why he recused himself from presided over the fatal DUI case.

The case, which has bounced between different judges in the Las Vegas Justice Court in recent weeks, is currently scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 4 in front of Justice of the Peace Harmony Letizia, who is set to decide at the hearing if prosecutors have enough evidence for Ruggs to stand trial.

WASHINGTON — The family of Shanquella Robinson is demanding justice more than 125 days after the 25-year-old was found dead at a luxury resort in Mexico, ABC News reported.

Robinson’s family and their attorneys gathered at a press conference in Washington, DC, and demanded a diplomatic intervention by President Joe Biden and the State Department to help assist in her case.

“Fifteen weeks and three days with all this visual evidence. Nobody has been arrested. Nobody has been arrested,” attorney Ben Crump said at the press conference.

US attorneys raised new concerns about Sam Bankman-Fried’s electronic communication capabilities in new court documents filed late Monday and, along with the former FTX CEO’s lawyers, asked a federal judge for more time to negotiate tightened bail conditions.

“Today, it came to the government’s attention…that the defendant used a VPN or “Virtual Private Network” to access the internet on January 29, 2023, and February 12, 2023,” the prosecutors wrote in a letter to US District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan. Judge Kaplan is overseeing the government’s case accusing Bankman-Fried of multiple felonies tied to FTX, including fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering.

Brazil’s attorney general has filed an indictment against 39 people for their alleged involvement in the storming of the Senate building on 8 January.
