JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former Douglas Anderson teacher Jeffrey Clayton is facing multiple criminal charges for inappropriate behavior with a student after years of allegations.

Some people voiced that the current superintendent, Dr. Diana Greene, should be held accountable for the delay in action against Clayton.

A local attorney told News4JAX the principals and superintendents during Clayton’s 23 years of working for the school district could be held liable too if negligence was found.

The attorney for Brian Laundrie’s family is seeking copies of all the family’s texts, calls and other phone records for a six-month stretch of 2021 obtained by the parents of Gabby Petito as part of a Florida civil suit connected to the travel blogger’s murder.

Her parents’ attorney, Pat Reilly, obtained a subpoena earlier this year asking AT&T for records of calls, texts and other phone data from Brian, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie between July 2, 2021, and Nov. 13 of that year.

18 attorneys general call on feds to recall some Kia and Hyundai models

Eighteen attorneys general are asking for the initiation of a recall of Kia and Hyundai car models that lack anti-theft controls.

In recent months, Kia and Hyundai models manufactured between 2011 and 2022 have seen increasing rates of theft following social media challenges urging people to steal the car with the help of a screwdriver and USB Cable. Some of the thefts have posted on social media using the hashtag #KiaBoyz.
