April 11 (Reuters) – A group of video gamers on Monday filed a new legal challenge to Microsoft Corp’s $69 billion bid to buy “Call of Duty” maker Activision Blizzard Inc , after a US judge last month rejected an earlier version of the antitrust lawsuit .

US District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley dismissed the plaintiffs’ first complaint in March after finding it failed to present enough information to back claims the acquisition would harm industry competition.

The appeal stems from a long-standing dispute between The Manchester Ship Canal Company Ltd (“MSCC”) and United Utilities Water Ltd (“UU”), regarding unauthorized discharges by sewers operated by UU into the Manchester Ship Canal. MSCC is the owner of this canal, whilst UU is the sewerage undertaker for the North West of England, following the privatization and reform of the sector in 1991.

Aluminum Is Now A Hot Topic In Supply Chain And Trade

Last Friday, February 24, 2023, the Biden Administration issued a Proclamation on Adjusting Imports of Aluminum into the United States. You can read the full proclamation here.

The Proclamation states that, beginning on March 10, 2023, a 200% ad valorem tariff will be imposed on all aluminum articles and derivative aluminum articles produced in Russia. Additionally, on April 10, 2023, a 200% ad valorem tariff will be imposed on aluminum articles where any amount of primary aluminum or derivative aluminum articles used in the manufacture of the articles was smelted or cast in Russia.
