Petitioner, the owner of a historic theater, with an adjacent property owner, challenged the Town of Hempstead Town Board’s determination of the Petitioner’s theater as a historic landmark. The Supreme Court denied and dismissed portions of the petition and proceedings which were pursuant to CPLR Article 78. The petitioners appealed. The Appellate Division of the Second Department affirmed the Supreme Court’s decision.

The attorney for Brian Laundrie’s family is seeking copies of all the family’s texts, calls and other phone records for a six-month stretch of 2021 obtained by the parents of Gabby Petito as part of a Florida civil suit connected to the travel blogger’s murder.

Her parents’ attorney, Pat Reilly, obtained a subpoena earlier this year asking AT&T for records of calls, texts and other phone data from Brian, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie between July 2, 2021, and Nov. 13 of that year.

Alex Murdaugh’s defense attorney Jim Griffin has slammed the alleged leak of a jailhouse phone call between him and the convicted killer.

New Jersey’s Attorney General’s Office has identified Mitchell Negron Jr. as the man who was shot and killed during an encounter with the Deptford Township police on Friday afternoon.

Negron, 24, was stopped by Officer Robert Shisler on Delsea Drive in Gloucester County shortly before 12:40 pm What followed, according to the AG’s Office, was a foot chase that turned into a struggle, and ended in a residential neighborhood on Doman Avenue , where both Negron and Shisler were shot.
