Sheriff’s workplace investigates demise of protection lawyer Stephen Wyse

Stephen Wyse, a Columbia felony protection lawyer, was discovered useless in his residence Monday by the Columbia Police Division.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Workplace is conducting an investigation.

No foul play is suspected in Wyse’s demise, and the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Workplace will carry out an post-mortem later this week, Capt. Brian Leer informed native media retailers.

Wyse based the Wyse Legislation Agency in 2002. The agency operated out of a downtown Columbia workplace. His apply areas embrace felony protection, DWI/DUI protection, private damage and civil rights.

Wyse was in the course of defending former McLanks Restaurant supervisor Jeffrey McWilliams in his second-degree homicide trial. The trial had been scheduled to happen in August after varied delays.
